Well it's Tuesday

So you know what that means, my house will be watching american idol.. They don't seem to be able to get enough of that show. Oh well to each his own.

It has rained here today , so not much I can do outside, but you know, at least it isn't snowing, sleeting,  giving us freezing rain or hail. I'm smiling.. can you see me. )

I had to send my hubby to the grocery store today as my tires were flat (again) Poor guy had to go back again to get a few things, I didn't have the heart to tell him he got some more things wrong. I'll just work with what I've got. He better get used to going for me though, cause with my eyes going I can't go all the time . the only way I could is for a miracle from the good Lord. So again I ask for your prayers for my eye sight.

I am now giving medicine to 3 animals. (1)a cat for seizures (2) a cat for infected injured paw -story below-(3)a dog for mouth problems. It's not easy holding them down and forcing  things down their throats. Poor little babies.

Now the story behind cat #2, sooo not funny- is Sunday he's in the kitchen and decides to pic a fight with my oldest cat who happens to be blind,  who is in his room with door shut for that reason alone. so when someone starts with him he knows he has to make it count. I  hear ruckus and I got there as fast as I could and the blind one had the other cat in a hold of all claws attached and biting him on the juggler in the neck . Now I'm the only one stupid enough to come between 2 fighting cats (have done so quite a few times) and right now I don't look pretty (no jokes either) You can get tore up pretty bad that way , I don't recommend it at all. So I finally break them up with the help (kind of) of my husband and daughter, seperate them and check them over to find out my tough little blind baby hasn't a mark on him and the other one is pretty bad with his fur all over the place. Now- how the black cat got in with my blind baby with the door shut and all,  I have no idea, he tore the door off the hindges.. You tell me cause I'm dumb founded (again no jokes) so all is well and kitty #2 is now being medicated for his trouble making....

Okay now I will leave you with this  : My kids don't need to figure out why I tell them to do as I say not as I do..hehe!

Have a Blessed day

baking day~ Yum~

Yes okay I'm a baker. I make most everything from scratch. biscuits, pizza, bread, cakes, cookies etc... So today I baked.

I look online to find new recipes all the time. I found several more just today @ better homes and gardens and @ joy of baking. They have alot of recipes to try. I also go to amsih recipe sites. They can be really different then what we're used to and they are fun to try. yes I love being a homemaker , I thrive on it.

I also collected recipes for dog biscuits for my sweet little guy (peanut) he's really old and has resorted to softer foods, so this is why he gets my treats.

I have a collection of recipes now and this year for christmas , I will be baking alot of goodies and giving them away as gifts. I will enjoy doing this a lot.

well that's it for now. Hope  to see you around. God Bless

I will leave you with this.:

John 15:7

If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. (The Amplified Bible)

Okay everyone always want to know the likes and dislikes (why I don't know) but any who here they are.

I like:  Reading (the Bible mostly)  I like to hike and boat, and camp, I also like to use the internet, make web pages and graphics. I like animals (all kinds)-not insects though mind you. I love th outdoors, ice cream, pizza, swimming and spring and summer.....

I dislike: t.v., rude people, insects, celery, peppers, winter, arrogant people, hunger, homelessness, death, and wearing glasses.

so there you have it, some likes and dislikes..there are more as there is with everyone but I don't want to go on & on & on, well you know.

Now I have this to leave you with:

  1. Ephesians 5:15

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), (Amplified)

Well not much to tell today. So I'm signing off and going to get some much needed rest as I can't even get my eyes to focus any more. Hope you're all having a better day than I am , well at least more (less boring)...

Take with you :

Colossians 1:9-10    For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

No Internet AHHHH

Okay so I know I said I'd keep you posted and updated and let you know what has been going on, but I've had no internet for a week. So yes I have missed you all.  Wow am I glad to be back on posting.

Okay first we have had a snow/ice storm come through and we were so blessed that only 1 tree was uprooted this time. Our electricity was out for only 12 hours not a week and our pipes did not freeze, so we even have water. God is so good to take care of me.

now second my time with my mother and sister this past friday 23rd went nicely. we ate a nice lunch , exchanged gifts for christmas and had us a nice chat.  My daughter really enjoyed herself.  It was so nice to see them.

I would like to ask all who stop by and visit that you please pray for me as my eyesight in my left eye is going and I would like prayer for healing  if you would. It would mean so much to know you are praying for me.

Okay I hope all is well with you and that God is blessing your life. Take care and i will leave you with this.           1. If you feel far away from God, guess who moved?
2. Fear knocked. Faith answered. No one was there.
3. What you are is God's Gift to you. What you become is your gift to God.
4. I am God's Melody of Life and He Sings His Song through me.
5. We can never really go where God is not, and where He is, all is well.

A new place to hang out

I just found this new place to hang out and I think it's great already. I don't know how I haven't heard of it before now, but hey I guess better late than never... It's called Your Christian Space. You can get to it from <a href="http://www.yourchristianspace.com"target="new">Here</a>

Anyway today went great and I got a call from my sister. She and my mother want to meet me and my daughter tomorrow at a restaurant and have some lunch. We will finally exchange christmas gifts. I didn't get to go in and see them so we're meeting them now. I'm excited to see them. I will let you know how it goes.

I want to leave you with this inspirational message before I go.......

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
       - Eleanor Roosevelt

May the God of heaven bless your life to the fullest...Hugs

For those who have worries about your future

HI again. I just wanted to give some Bible scriptures for those of you who have some worries and concerns for your future as to what it holds for us with the way things look at this point in the world. I talk to alot of people who do have fears and I just wanted to show some scripture on what the Lord says concerning fear and what you could do to ease those fears.

1:...There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear ... "
1 John 4:18

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened."
Take Courage

1 Peter 3:14

These scriptures are saying that you as christians should not fear for the Lord did not give us fear, this is of satan and we are not of the world. Our hope is in God, we have faith that he is with us and will take care of us and will be with us always. Place your faith and hope in Jesus and let his perfect love cast our your fears and be couragious.

I hope these scriptures have helped . Know that there are more and I pray if you are one of my readers who have concerns over your future in these uncertain times, that you will continue looking up in the bible more scriptures on fear for yourselves.

I pray for you always and hope that you are well, and will stay safe. Live life in God's will for you and have the peace that only Jesus can give. May the Lord Bless you always.

Love and hugs to you all. Mary

Free gift offer to girls 8-13 see posts below

Well I'm going to try this again. As the last time I posted, I was wiped out and I had typed alot.

It is still cold and the day is still blustery, but it's no where near the day in the other post I intended .  We now have ourselves a whopping twenty seven (27) degrees compared to the minus seventeen (-17)that we did have.   we have gotten ourselves some more snow but not much. I'm thankful of that.

I have been reading alot and visiting alot of wonderful sites.  They latest site I visited was Hillbilly housewife. Great site, please check it out.  The books I have been reading are of course my amish books by beverly lewis. My all time favorite author. The last book of hers I read was the sunroom based on her diary and is true. Tear jerker.I think I have now read all of her books and I'm sad about this.

I'm still going to ourprayer.com and praying for those in need. I have also joined a few groups there. It's a wonderful place to be and to put others and their needs before yourself . Does a heart good to lift others up to the Lord.

I had just checked my counter on my site {Footsteps of hope} and it shows that I have tons of hits from other countres. 13 I believe along with the U.S. and unkinown territories. This is so great to me , as this site is my witnessing tool for the Lord and I am thrilled not only to see so many people dropping by but those from other countries, where maybe the Lord is not known to them. Praise God for this.

I am offering a free gift {startig March  5th}**geared towards girls 8 to age 12-13**                       to the person that emails me @ gmail and is the 10th emailer. I will send the gift out to you within 3 days (because I'm uncertain of the weather conditions) and I will offer this free gift for the next 3 months every week.((  March,  april), and May)   Please get your emails in to me every thursday and be the 10th emailer I recieve. **These gifts are geared toward  girls  ages 8 to 12-13** Please know these are good wholesome materials from a christian woman who just wants to share something to younger girls that might give their minds something to do.Please put in the subject liner free gift chance.I will let you know if you have won and will need a home mail address or a post office box. Parents if you would like to know what this is before submitting your daughter of granddaughter's name please also email me and I will let you in on what it is. Just keep it mum's the word.

Okay enough of me going on . may God bless each of you . I will be praying for you all.

Bringing back my writings

Okay, I haven't been here for quite some time and I haven't really gotten into posting at the other site like I thought I would so I'm  going to start posting back here again.

Things have been going alright for me and my family. we  had a great Christmas and new year. Of course I prayed in the new year again . I feel it's the only way to have the best year possible. Pray to the Heavenly Father and ask him to be in your life in the year following.

I have been so thankful for the things God has given me in my life and the wonderful mercies he has shown me and my family. I have been able to witness alot lately through the use of snail mail iand internet. I have been praying alot for those on Ourprayer.org. What a wonderful way to spend your time and to put others needs before those of your own.  I have seen alot of changes in myself this past year and continue to grown as a mature christian every day.

I'm praying that you and yours are having a blessed year so far and that God will be a part of your year and life.

Blessings to you all.
